GOP bills would cut healthcare for millions

The House Republican Health (Don't) Care Bill, called the American Health Care Act, would not allow states to use "direct spending" on "prohibited entities" with federal funds allocated from the AHCA for one year. Prohibited entities are defined as any "essential community provider" that is "primarily engaged in family planning services, reproductive health, and related medical care" or "provides for abortions."

Stop Trumpcare: Rally and Vigil to Protect Healthcare Access

Thu, Jul 6, 2017 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Our Senators are on tap to vote on the current health care bill under which 24 million people could lose their health care. On Thursday, we will come together to hold a vigil and die-in in support of those who will lose their access to care if Trumpcare passes and for those who are already suffering under insufficient access to health care: the poor, the underinsured, the elderly, the disabled, immigrants, and many others.

We endorse a single payer health care system to improve access, cost, and outcomes for all people within the United States.
