November 13th is the first day of our negotiations with U-M's academic HR. Please join us in showing university leadership that graduate students support GEO's platform and the bargaining team!

There will be a few speakers -- President Emily Gauld, Rep Yousef Rahbi, Bargaining Committee Chair Sumeet and more. Then we will march the bargaining team to the Michigan League where negotiations begin at noon.

Bring musical instruments or noisemakers if you have them.

You'll also hear stories from those with lived homelessness experience and learn about the different programs and partner agencies that make up our county's homeless response system.

Rent in Ann Arbor shot upward by 15% last year, but most of us don’t need a statistic to prove what we’ve experienced for years—it’s increasingly impossible for those who work in Ann Arbor to live there, too. Meanwhile, those displaced from Ann Arbor are pushing out residents of other cities, including Ypsilanti, where last year, 13% of students experienced houselessness. Altogether, almost 80,000 workers commute to Ann Arbor by car every day, which not only contributes to the fracturing of our communities, but also to the destruction of our environment.
