Children & Young adult's Parade for Positive Change! ANN ARBOR

Date:
Sat, Apr 29, 2017 - 3:00pm to 6:00pm

City:

THIS IS A PEACEFUL, NON-POLITICAL, SAFE outlet for children, we encourage them to HONOR and be PROUD of their heritage, lifestyle, and religion through their signs and banners!

I think too many of us take for granted the power that our children possess. They see the news with us, they see our protests. They should know, as American Citizens (legal or otherwise), that they CAN make a change too! This is a great outlet for them to feel POWERFUL and INCLUDED... Safely and Peacefully.

Brunch for Brennon: Supporting Standing Rock Water Protectors

Date:
Sat, Mar 11, 2017 - 9:00am to 1:00pm

City:

Brennon Nastacio is a water protector who faced serious criminal charges after disarming a DAPL employee who showed up with an AR-15 at Pueblo Camp. Instead of being honored for keeping people safe in a tense and dangerous situation, he found himself in a protracted legal battle that restricted his ability to return home, work, and care for his two children. Today he is setting up a new life in Bismarck, North Dakota where he has been court ordered to remain for the foreseeable future. To learn more about his story, watch the coverage from The Young Turks and Democracy Now below.
