Emergency Action: No DAPL, No Keystone XL

Date:
Fri, Jan 27, 2017 - 5:30pm to 8:30pm

City:

tRump signed presidential memorandums today in support of finishing both the Dakota Access Pipeline and the Keystone XL pipeline. Not only does this action threaten the environment, but it also sets a dangerous precedent for taking executive action regarding issues that affect indigenous populations. We must publically condemn this action and call upon federal officials to issue public statements against it.

Weekly Organizational Meeting

Date:
Wed, Jan 25, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm

City:

After such an energizing Women's March Ann Arbor this weekend, we're incredibly excited to get to work! Join us as we introduce some of our new activist committees—all of which will offer meaningful, concrete ways to take action and make change today.

As Claire Cepuran said during the rally, activism can be a personal catharsis in a new, uncertain political landscape. Let's stay united after this weekend and demonstrate the lasting power of this movement! All members of the community are welcome to join students as we engage in these important discussions.
