The One Human Family campaign started one year ago when Islamophobic and anti-refugee rhetoric started to become more prominent in the Presidential campaign. Now that reports are coming in of a serious uptick in anti-Muslim and anti-refugee attacks and hate speech post election, how can the broader community stand in support of inclusion?

Please come share your thoughts and commit to action for how to push back against intollerance.

Community Forum: Energy Money in Lansing Politics

Date:
Tue, Nov 15, 2016 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

City:

Not a Sierra Club event, and a little outside our geographic area, but this should be of interest to Sierra Club members.

Just look at your utility bill – you’ll agree that energy issues matter! State policy determines the success of renewable energy in Michigan, and decisions in Lansing are heavily influenced by campaign money and lobbying by Michigan’s giant energy and utility companies. How? Come and hear this expert panel.

The event will be held at the Ann Arbor District Library, Pittsfield Branch, 2359 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48103, starting at 7:00 pm.

Location:
2359 Oak Valley Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48103, USA
