This conversation will unbox the invention of homosexuality, and what it means to be gay in a post colonial society. Gay culture has hierarchies, power and privilege based on race, class, and gender expression that should not go checked.
We’ll explore heteronormativity and the rigid lines its drawn for homosexuality. Narratives that majority cultures inscribe and gay culture reinforces. What it means to be Queer and its relationship to homosexuality.
Refreshments and snacks will be provided.
