This month’s theme is energy justice. As DTE Energy prepares to raise ALL our rates and build a natural gas plant, we’re planning to make sure environmental justice and communities of color are heard in the process. These communities often spend more on their energy bills than others and will bear the most impacts of climate change. Renewable energy is the only path forward to ensure long-term success and affordability.
Also on the agenda: meeting with our local representatives, updates on cities moving to 100% renewable energy (including an exciting update), and much more!

We're in crunch time to push Oakland County leadership into allowing regional transit back on the ballot in 2018. The Motor City Freedom Riders are organizing a local county committee of bus riders and transit supporters in Oakland to fight back against the obstruction of regional transit by our representatives. At this meeting, we'll be discussing and planning the following:
- How to leverage business leadership in the county that both understands how important transit is to economic development and has influence with County Executive L. Brooks Patterson
