Women's March Grand Rapids 2019

Start 2019 off with a clear message that women will not be silenced! Join us in giving voice to the multitude of issues that women/femmes experience on a daily basis at the Grand Rapids, Michigan Women's March. This event will be inclusive and intersectional, as all feminist movements should be.

We have a number of speakers lined up for this event. The march will be approximately 30 minutes through the downtown area, looping back to Calder Plaza.

Choose Your Issue 2019

Several groups will be giving 5 minute presentations and remain available to speak with those interested in the group. VNP, CCL, LCV, LWV, PWA and a Pollinator Champion (Native Michigan bees), Wild Ones River City Chapter (native plants) and possibly other groups not yet confirmed. This is a non-partisan event. Kashk, hummus and pita bread will be served. And apple pie and some other dessert to be determined. Bring your own beverage.

NAACP GR Youth Council Meeting

The Greater Grand Rapids NAACP Youth Council hosts its monthly meetings on the first Tuesday’s of every month from 7-8pm.

Today there are more than 25,000 young people, under the age of 25, representing 550 Junior Youth Councils, Youth Councils, High School Chapters and College Chapters actively involved in the fight for civil rights across our country.
