GR Rapid Response to ICE - May Training

If you are interested in practicing solidarity with the immigrant and undocumented community, this training will provide you with information and skills to do so. Every week, GR Rapid Response to ICE receives calls from families who are negatively being impacted by ICE violence. In this training you will learn how to directly intervene against ICE violence as well as how to provide support to families who have had loved ones arrested, detained or deported by ICE.

4/28 Ally Working Meeting

Cosecha Crowd Safety Training (Calvin)

Training is in room 280.
As we build up to the big May 1st March, Cosecha GR needs people, especially allies who can be trained as marshals for actions that Cosecha GR organizes. The role of marshals is to keep people safe from violence, the violence of racist individuals, hate groups and police.

The trainings last 2.5 hours and include a lot of role playing, so that people can be better prepared to deal with a number of circumstances we may face.

Protest Trump in Grand Rapids! #notwelcomehere

Trump will be holding a rally at the Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids on March 28th.

Join us in saying "Trump is not welcome here!"

We will begin at 4pm in front of Van Andel Arena. This is the Fulton side of the building. Look for red flags and a banner!

This is when the doors open for the event, so Trump's supporters will already be lining up. Organizers will speak briefly at 5pm.
