Hear from the City Manager candidates at this community forum in the Ryerson Auditorium at the Grand Rapids Public Library, 111 Library St. NE. The event will include a formal question and answer session between the executive recruiter and candidates as well as an opportunity for community members to talk with the candidates one on one.

Comment cards will be available at the event for attendees to provide feedback on the candidates. The community also is encouraged to provide feedback on the candidates by emailing manager@grcity.us.

Westside Cancer Crisis Discussion

The city’s corporate developer and landlord funded agenda isn’t what working people in Grand Rapids need. But we can create a people’s housing agenda for justice that centers on renters, low-income people and communities of color having a right to the city, and plan for actions to organize for a housing program that puts people over profit.

We Demand Kent County End the Contract with ICE

Kent County Progressive Caucus Meeting

Let's get together before the Kent Dems Meeting on July 11th, and kick around some ideas as to how to move this party to the left. Let's face it, nothing new is happening, they're pushing the usual candidates to the forefront and leaving progressive candidates behind AGAIN. The Democratic Party is the party of the people and we must take it back. Right now we have about 20 active members, and we need to increase those numbers drastically. Supreme Court Justice Kennedy is retiring and things are going to get worse fast.
