Join us for a presentation and community discussion about police abolition in 2017. An organizer from the A World without Police collective, visiting from the Bronx, will help us explore the following questions:
- What role do the police play in capitalist society?
- What are the limits of police reform and why must we work toward abolishing the police?
- What are strategies and ideas to build community power as well as disempower, disarm, and disband the police?

The system is letting our seniors down. A national problem is playing out right now in our fair city and Cross Street Village Seniors who are counting on living out their lives in peace are being forced to move. All because the owner of this subsidized housing building, and the recipient of many tax benifits, is going to change the building to market residency rates.
