A Day of Racial Healing

Sat, Sep 29, 2018 - 8:30am to 5:00pm

The Community Foundation of Greater Flint (CFGF) invites you to participate in A Day of Racial Healing on Saturday, September 29 in Flint. The day brings people together in their common humanity, the theme of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint’s (CFGF) 30th anniversary year.

Local healing practitioners have been trained to facilitate a series of healing circles during A Day of Racial Healing. Small groups of individuals will be guided in conversations composed of three parts: listening, becoming open to one another’s perspectives and experiences; and allowing yourself to be impacted and/or be transformed by the experience.

Two sessions will be held at the Mott Community College Regional Technology Center, 1401 East Court Street, Flint. Participation is limited to the first 100 registrants.

The morning session will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The afternoon session begins at 1:30 p.m. and concludes at 5:00 p.m. Lunch for all participants is 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Deadline to register is Monday, September 10.
