Bystander Intervention Training - Ypsilanti

Sat, Oct 21, 2017 - 1:00pm to 5:00pm

As we see an increase in hate crimes and attacks against immigrants, Muslims, and other vulnerable populations in our communities, many of us have asked ourselves, “What would or what could I do if I were there?” The good news is that there are skills and techniques that you can learn and practice to keep others safe. You don’t have to be passive. Our 4 hour Basic Bystander Training will show you how to respond. Sheri Wander, with 20+ years of peace keeping training with the Meta Peace Team, and other certified ICPJ facilitators will teach you the basic tactics you can use to deescalate and/or redirect threats and harassment through non-violent methods and strategies. For more info contact, Germaine, or 734-663-1870.
