Detroit Waterway Protection Ordinance Release Event

Date:
Tue, Feb 18, 2020 - 9:15am to 11:00am

City:

It’s been over 2 months since contaminated land collapsed into the Detroit River and the site has yet to be remediated. It’s clear that the City of Detroit could be doing more to protect our communities and our water. That’s why we need a Detroit Waterway Protection Ordinance so situations like this one never happens again.

If you don’t think our emergency management systems are up to par, if you're tired of seeing companies operate without the proper permitting, if you are frustrated that it took officials over a week to find out about contaminated land collapsing into the Detroit River...

Then please come out on Tuesday Feb 18th at 9:15am at the Spirit of Detroit for the release of the community drafted Detroit Waterway Protection Ordinance and then following this rally/press conference we'll be packing city council to demand that city council and Mayor Duggan support this ordinance.

Text or call 313-405-5900 if you have questions.
