Dismantling Anti Blackness

Thu, Jun 27, 2019 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Join community activists Dree Cooper and Asia Mock for their "Dismantling Anti Blackness" workshop.

Hood Feminism is a deeply intersectional form of feminism that centers the experiences and needs of Black non-men, especially those raised or living in impoverished areas.

In this workshop, participants will learn about the roots of Hood Feminism while developing diverse perspectives on historical non-white feminists, intersections of Blackness with current LGBTQ identities and movements, misogynoir, fetishism, and current uses of media in our social and political movements.

Refreshments will be provided! Childcare provided.

**Suggested $20 donation to attend this workshop. Your donations will go towards funding future "Our Hood Feminism" workshops and events.
