From Michigan to Louisiana #StrikeDownETP

Tue, Sep 18, 2018 - 5:00pm to 7:00pm

We are meeting at the Marathon refinery. Please share this event! We need everyone!

The water protectors in the Bayous of Louisiana are calling for solidarity actions across the nation on September 18th to stop the construction of the Bayou Bridge Pipeline!

Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) is the company that unleashed horrific violence on water protectors at Standing Rock They are the company that has had Ellen Gerhart, Red Fawn and many others imprisoned for resisting. They are the company that brutally attacked us last week as we halted illegal pipeline construction.

They have tried to silence us with violence. But we won't back down. On September 18th Its time to strike back.

Find a target and TAKE ACTION: *** We are striking down ETP one day before a key court date here in Louisiana regarding St. James, a community of color that is surrounded and inundated with toxic infrastructure. It is in this community where the Bayou Bridge Pipeline, which is the tail end of DAPL, would connect to oil refineries.

On September 19th a Judge will hear arguments on the validity of ETP's Coastal Use Permit. Another court threw out the permit and insisted that an evacuation must be created for St. James should a petrochemical accident occur. ETP ignored this ruling and continued with construction. Now the Court of Appeal could force ETP to finally #GiveStJamesAWayOut. *** On September, let's STRIKE DOWN ETP! (more targets being added soon)
