After years of living on life support, public education is now in the terminal stages of its long battle with underfunding, privatization, segregation, and rich political donors.
With Betsy DeVos now serving as Secretary of Education, we believe public education from Pre-K through college is facing a mortal threat.

The DeVos's have spent hundreds of millions of dollars attacking public education, slashing budgets, privatizing schools, and siphoning money off into private institutions. This combine with Betsy's attacks on key institutions such as Title IX and special education means that our public system has never been closer to the grave.

Amidst the DeVos funded carnival that is ArtPrize, we invite you to join us for a public funeral to commemorate public education & the key role it has played in lifting up people across our country and the potential for its future rebirth if DeVos and her allies can be stopped.

Sign making from 1pm to around 2pm. We have materials for everyone so no need to bring posters, markers etc.
Wake & funeral at Rosa Parks Circle Sunday Oct 8 - 2pm.
Ceremony to include Eulogy, commemoration of the deceased, and recognition of its murderers.

Black formalwear is preferred, but all mourners are welcome.
