The Greater Lansing Town Hall is a community event open to all citizens of Lansing. It is your opportunity to hear what is happening in our current government and how possible changes by the new administration may affect your lifestyle. Linda Vail from, a health officer from the Ingham County Health Department will be speaking about health care and how your insurance plans may change with a repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Ed Montemayor from LatinX will be speaking about immigration rights and how the current travel ban has been affecting immigrants in Michigan. A representative from the Sierra Club of Michigan will be discussing environmental issues and how proposed policies and budget cuts will affect the Great Lakes and energy plans in Michigan. Our representatives in congress have been invited to attend and answer any questions you may have. The time is NOW to get educated and engaged in the state of Michigan. If we want to ensure a brighter future for ourselves, our children, and our grandchildren, we need to know how government decisions affect us and TAKE ACTION!
