One Year Later - Indivisible Dexter November Meeting

Date:
Thu, Nov 9, 2017 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

City:

On November 9th, 2016 we all woke up feeling that our world had changed overnight. Do you remember how you felt the morning after the election?

It's now a year later and most of us changed by what happened on election day. What started as weeks and even months of uncertainty, depressed, and fear has manifested into action. We have discovered, or rediscovered, the importance of civic engagement and that we can make a difference when we stand up and speak out. We may still be uncertain and fearful at times, but we are smarter and stronger and that election defeat has empowered us.

Let's get together on the 9th and spend a little time together with our friends and neighbors looking back on the last year and then focus one what's next. We need to look at what we have accomplished and remind ourselves that we have power and we have a voice and when we work together we make things happen.

"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." Barack Obama

We have a very exciting meeting planned and will have updates for you over the next week.

Everyone is welcome. In honor of all of your effort (and Thanksgiving) we are planning to provide pizza! Every single person has contributed to our resistance, for which we are appreciative and grateful.
