People's Potluck-Monday July 31, 2017-Central Methodist Church

Date:
Mon, Jul 31, 2017 - 5:00pm to 8:00pm

City:

Rev. Edward Pinkney was freed from prison on June 13, 2017, after an unjust conviction and incarceration.Several hundred supporters attended a celebration welcoming him home.

Please join Rev. Edward Pinkney at the People's Potluck dinner on Monday July 31st. at Central Methodist church from 5:00PM-8:00PM.

We are trying to raise some funds to help his family out.

No amount is too small.

Also we will be welcoming Darryl (Waistline) Mitchell back from his hiatus in California for the last 10 months. He will give a brief report on his latest Marxist-Glossary 3.0 soon to be on the book shelfs.

Exactly two years and six months after being locked up, Michigan’s political prisoner, the Rev. Edward Pinkney, walked out from behind the bars. His spouse, Dorothy Pinkney, waited for him at the Brooks Correctional Facility in Muskegon Heights, Mich., on the morning of June 13, ready to drive him to their home in the small town of Benton Harbor...

The People's Potluck has been holding monthly meetings since 2012. WE have had many extraordinary conversations with hundreds of diverse people. WE have gotten to share space with some of the greatest thinkers of our time. Like Darryl Mitchell and General Baker.

NOW MORE THAN EVER WE NEED TO GATHER IN THESE SPACES AND LEARN FROM EACH OTHER.

All are welcome! Please sign in and share widely!

All are welcome.
Bring a dish to pass and your family.
Invite your community and pack your car!
There will be a space for the kids to hang out, eat, do art, and chill. There will be someone there with the children but it will be every parents responsibility to make sure their kids stay there, go to the bathroom, and have everything they need to be comfortable.

We would like to welcome our newest sponsor, Vista Maria. Vista Maria is a nonprofit organization working with underprivileged youth within the Metro Detroit area.

Presently the dinner is sponsored by Vista Maria, The Insurgency, Warren Avenue Community Organization (WACO), We The People of Detroit, Fireweed University City, Central United Methodist Church, Occupy Detroit, Michigan Coalition Against Tar Sands(MI-CATS), Critical Moment, Moratorium Now, Thornbladh Legal Group PLLC, Detroit Social Justice Ministry (Central United Methodist Church), Detroit Food Not Bombs, People's Tribune, Michigan Welfare Rights Organization, Detroiters Resisting Emergency Management, Hush House, The Wobbly Kitchen, The Green Party of Michigan, Detroit LIght Brigade, League of Revolutionaries for a New America(LRNA), The Raging Grannies, Detroit Coalition Against Tar Sands (D-CATS), South Eastern Chapter of the Zeitgeist Movement, Phoenix Cafe, Institute for the Study of the Science of Society(ISSS), This Hood of Ours, Inc, Rally!
