Join us to hear from Ed Golembiewsk, chief Deputy Clerk/Register & Director of Elections at Washtenaw County, about the new voters rights and voting access created by Proposal 3.

Ed oversees the Clerk/Register’s office with particular responsibility for election administration and Michigan Campaign Finance Act compliance, including ballot programming, election inspector & campaign finance training, receipt of candidate filings, facilitating the canvass of election returns and coordinating administration responsibilities with the County’s 28 City, Township & Village Clerks.

Ed has served on several committees administered by the Michigan Bureau of Elections, most recently the Risk-Limiting Audit Working Group. Prior to his work at Washtenaw County Ed served as Deputy City Clerk in the City of Ypsilanti for four years where he was responsible for election administration.

He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Eastern Michigan University in 2005. Originally from Brighton, Michigan, Ed has proudly called Washtenaw County home for 19 years. He currently resides in Ann Arbor with his wife, Amelia, and two young children, Henry (5) and June (2), whom he adores.
