Speak Up for Wayne-Washtenaw Transit!

Wed, Feb 21, 2018 - 6:30pm to 8:00pm

Oakland and Macomb County leaders are still blocking a four-county regional transit proposal for metro Detroit. It's time for Detroit, Wayne County and Washtenaw County to move forward together.

Join us in asking the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners to work with their peers in Wayne County to develop a two-county transit proposal and place it on the ballot in November 2018.

A two-county proposal won't solve all our problems, but it would be a major step forward. It would be a huge step to connect people to opportunity - bridging the transit gap between Wayne and Washtenaw, and bringing bus service to places like Livonia and Canton.

The Board of Commissioners meeting begins at 6:30 pm with time for public comment. It's in the County Administration Building, 220 N. Main St. in downtown Ann Arbor. If you're able, join us beforehand across the street, beginning at 5:30, at Mighty Good Coffee. We'll have talking points on hand!
