Washtenaw County Housing Coalition 1st Meeting

Sat, Dec 1, 2018 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm

We invite you to join us in building a housing coalition between groups already active in housing work in order to maximize and synthesize our efforts into a community-wide housing strategy, to mobilize on concrete affordable housing opportunities, and to help promote the construction of new affordable housing our regional market is not creating.

As socialists, we support the expansion of direct public investment in affordable, publicly-owned housing with the vision that housing will no longer be a commodity, but a human right. We believe that the pathway to achieve social housing development in our communities requires solutions that are sourced from all stakeholders, with a sharp focus on inclusion of all residents willing to participate..
