Tell Patterson and Hackel: RTA in 2018!

Date:
Tue, Jan 23, 2018 - 11:00am to 1:00pm

*UPDATED* After a year of negotiations, Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson and Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel are still holding out against putting a proposal for regional transit on the ballot in 2018. Patterson is reportedly refusing to support a proposal unless individual cities are allowed to "opt out" - the same senseless provision that has made Swiss cheese out of the SMART bus system.

Ypsi March for Love, Resilience, and Action 2018

Date:
Sat, Jan 20, 2018 - 12:30pm to 4:00pm

City:

We are connecting the theme of this march to gentrification in Ypsilanti. We want to focus on how important it is to keep communities intact, as a way of deepening and broadening our coalitions of resistance at the national level. We want to connect opposition to tax reform, fears about the future of Medicaid, outrage that we have a sexual predator in the White House, etc. to the question of how Ypsilanti can be TOGETHER in meeting these challenges.
