GGRREN is taking a new direction, and will no longer be acting as an educational space. We will be shifting our focus to become a network for internal dialogue and support that is led both by and for People of Color in Greater Grand Rapids, with attention to supporting individuals on an interpersonal level.

Updated Mission Statement:
The Greater Grand Rapids Racial Equity Network (GGRREN) is a network of individuals that centers People of Color and is organized to promote, produce, and support action that advances racial equity.

Create the Grand Rapids Unit's 2018 Calendar of Activities

Some of the options include marching in the Hollyhock Lane Parade on the 4th of July, conducting voter registration, participating in Get Out the Vote efforts, and poll watching. This month we will discuss the proposal to build a new gas plant in Dearborn and the pollution it will create along with how to move Oakland County to 100% renewables. We will also celebrate our recent victory stopping coal ash pollution in the Great Lakes.
