MOASH is hosting a panel discussion entitled "The (workplace) Future is Female: Advice to Young Women in Male-Dominated Fields" at the Downtown Ann Arbor District Library on Thursday, August 16 from 7-8:30pm. The panel will consist of young adult women who have experience working in male-dominated fields, including science, math, and engineering. This discussion will be a great educational opportunity for girls and women who are interested in pursuing a career in a similar field, and has the potential to inspire young girls to continue studying STEM material.

Solarize Meridian Presentation

Meridian Township has a goal of obtaining 25% of our electricity from renewable energy by 2025. To make it easier to install a PV system, the Meridian Energy Team has identified twelve solar installers that have offered to provide a rooftop solar electric system for $3/watt or less. A 4000 watt system would cost $12,000 before credits. Presentations will be provided by a Meridian resident who currently owns a solar system and volunteers from the Meridian Energy Team.
