Our June meeting will be a direct action as well as a lot of fun.

Agenda:
-Short business meeting to share upcoming events and make our plans for a repeat appearance at the 4th of July Parade!
-Write as many postcards to 11th District voters as we can possibly write in the time we have. We will move people to start thinking about the August Primary. We will be sending these to potential progressive voters. Writing handwritten cards can be more effective than slick mailers when we approach people as fellow voters.

Postcards & Pizza Party

Date:
Mon, May 7, 2018 - 5:30pm to 8:30pm

City:

On Monday, May 7, we’re gathering to write postcards to our elected officials, socialize, and network. New format for this party: a speed-dating concept where letter writers gather at tables to hear expert-activists talk for a few minutes on different topics, you write your postcards, and the activists move from table to table. We’ll be writing on 4-6 issues, including gun control, the Enbridge Line 5, and the proposed DTE gas plant. Also new: a phone-calling room. We’ll give you phone numbers to call your reps. It may be after office hours, but you can leave a message.
