The State Government is trying to pass legislation that would be disastrous for Michigan by imposing work requirements on Medicaid Recipients. Work requirements hurt women, children, and families. They hurt men in rural communities and women in urban communities. They hurt everyone, everywhere.

Brews & Views - Promote the Vote

The focus of our May session will be voter access and participation in our democracy. Promote the Vote is a coalition working to pass a proposed amendment to Michigan's Constitution that would make voting more accessible. A representative from this group will be with us to talk about the issues our state faces in accessing our right to vote and how the proposed amendment addresses those challenges. We will talk about the content of the proposed amendment and the campaign's current status. We will then have time for questions and discussion.
