Come join us for dinner at 5:30 pm
Program will start promptly at 6:00 pm.

We have partnered with the YWCA Kalamazoo and Justice For Our Neighbors (JFon) on this event. After the town hall, we invite you to stay for the presentations our partners will have regarding immigration, human trafficking, and trauma.

Support Rally for Jose Luis Sanchez Ronquillo

Jose Luis has been moved to the Monroe County Jail in Michigan! This is good news as he is now closer to home and his family can visit him.

With the support of the family, we will be holding a rally for Jose Luis at the immigration detention center in Monroe. With this rally we hope to keep public attention on Jose Luis' case, continue to let the courts know that his case is being closely watched by many, and make sure the jail knows that Jose Luis should be treated with care as there is a community supporting him and looking out for his well-being.

Raising the Trans Flag with Pride

Join the City of Ypsilanti as city employees and community members raise the transgender pride flag together in honor of Transgender Day of Visibility. The flag will be flown with the American flag all day on Friday, March 31st.

The City of Ypsilanti, known historically for being progressive with policy, voted at the most recent council meeting at City Hall to fly the transgender pride flag. The mayor and multiple city council members spoke eloquently about their support to pass the resolution, and the resolution passed unanimously.

Violent Interactions between Law Enforcement and Black Americans
