Who's Going to Pay? Climate Change and the Insurance Industry

Join us for a presentation by John Job, industry specialist with the FM Global Group. John will discuss how the industry does risk assessment for catastrophic events like hurricanes, floods and fires and what the increase in intensity of these events, due to global warming, means for the future.

Detroit area groups concerned about the increasingly severe effects of climate change on those Detroit citizens already impacted by environmental injustice, want to know how city leaders are planning for the threats of climate change. Consequently, these seven groups are cosponsoring a candidate discussion with the theme of Moving Detroit Forward – Advancing Environmental Justice in a Changing Climate.
