With the federal government threatening to take away DACA, continued push for building a wall at the US/Mexcian border and the blatant White Supremacy that can be seen on a daily basis, we need more people to be part of our Rapid Response to ICE work.

Please join us for a peaceful, nonpartisan gathering to stand in solidarity with nearly 800,000 Dreamers whose lives will be devastated if DACA is repealed. Over 7,000 of these Dreamers reside here in Michigan. We welcome everyone regardless of race, party affiliation, or creed to stand together united to support the preservation of DACA. To stand and support the hundreds of thousands of young men and women who contribute so much to our country and are working to build better lives for themselves and their families.

DACA was repealed on September 5th with certain guidelines for renewals. This informational workshop will outline what you should know about your work permit, legal status, and if eligible your renewal ability.
Due to the limited space this gathering will be for DACA holders and their families/friends. We kindly ask allies to keep an eye out for another gathering to discuss how you can support our immigrant neighbors.

It's blatantly obvious that #DACA overturn is nothing more than red meat for Trump's racist and xenophobic base. This is a statistical minority of people who do NOT represent our country as a whole. Lets remind Mike Bishop that we are a nation of immigrants and that we do not condone unjustified deportation of what some estimate could be up to two million Dreamers who -- like us -- are productive members of society who only wish to make a better life for themselves and their families. If you cannot attend, please share!
