Canvassing for Medicare for All in Three Rivers!

Date:
Mon, Sep 17, 2018 - 4:00pm to 6:00pm

What is canvassing?
Canvassing is the easiest and most natural of all the things we do--it's just talking to people, and especially listening to them. It is also the most effective and important thing we do to garner support for Medicare for All. If you really want to make Single Payer happen, this is the work to be doing. -We will supply equipment and give a mini training before hand

If you are not experienced, you can go with a more experienced person to see what it is like!

L.A.'s Coffee Cafe

Wed, Jun 6, 2018 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Join us for a discussion with health professionals and those who have been impacted the most by our failed healthcare system. We will discuss where we have been, where we are and what we can do to make sure every person in Michigan has healthcare as a right, regardless of their income.

Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. Healthcare is not a commodity, it is a necessity, a vital component of mental, emotional, social, and physical well-being and security for every individual and family across Michigan.

Come canvass with us for Medicare for All!

Date:
Fri, Jun 1, 2018 - 5:30pm to 8:00pm

Come join us for our second Medicare for All canvass! We knocked on almost 100 doors for our first canvass and had great discussions with folk about health insurance and health care. If you've never canvassed before, don't worry. It's fun! We'll start with a brief training, and you'll have a buddy with whom to canvass. If you're (literally or not) sick and tired of the current state health insurance and health care, this is a great opportunity to have some conversations with others about it, and spread the word about Medicare for All.

SECOND UPDATE: Senator Curtis Hertel has also agreed to join us at the event!

UPDATE: Representative Cochran and Representative Singh were nice enough to agree to join us at this event!

The State Government is trying to pass legislation that would be disastrous for Michigan by imposing work requirements on Medicaid Recipients. Work requirements hurt women, children, and families. They hurt men in rural communities and women in urban communities. They hurt everyone, everywhere.
