"Detroit Peace in the Streets," a Peace Building Conference, being held at Wayne State, April 20-21st.

This event is held by the Detroit & Ann Arbor Rotary, in collaboration with the Wayne State University Center for Peace & Conflict Studies department.

The event will feature dialogues from local survivors, victims, peace-makers, experts, and community leaders to talk about how we can attain peace on three levels in Detroit. Peace in the Schools, Peace in the Homes, and Peace in the Hood.

Meet us at the Ampitheater on Eastern Michigan Campus for the official memorial for all those who have lost their lives to police brutality and ignorance. We must never forget their lives and their stories. All are welcome to come with candles, pictures, shirts, artwork, poetry, words of wisdom, posters, flowers, anything to help celebrate their memory and their lives. Police brutality is still an existing ailment to all in our communities, but mostly the African American community.
