Why: Last year, the Snyder administration tried to give public money to private schools, despite a CONSTITUTIONAL BAN. Michiganders took them to court, and WE WON. The fight is not over. Attorney General Bill Schuette has already appealed the case.

Public Hearing on Discrimination in Michigan Schools

The Michigan Civil Rights Commission is holding a series of public hearings to examine issues of discrimination in Michigan's K-12 schools.

The commission will hear public comments at approximately 6:00pm. Testimony related to schools in Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, and surrounding communities will be given priority.

To request an accommodation, call 800-482-3604 or email MDCR-INFO@michigan.gov at least 7 business days prior to the hearing.

Sign language interpreters and CART services will be available.
