ACLU Western Michigan Monthly Meeting (Grand Rapids)

Join the ACLU of Western Michigan Local Unit on the third Thursday of the month for its monthly meeting and learn how you can get involved in civil-rights and civil-liberties issues that matter most to you in your community.

The ACLU of Western Michigan is engaged in a variety of activism, public education and awareness, and engagement and recruitment activities The next scheduled meeting will take place March 15th, at the Wealthy Theater Annex in Grand Rapids.

Come to a Feb 21 meeting, 6:00 pm, at the Unitarian Church, 4001 Ann Arbor Saline Rd, to organize for circulating petitions to put an election reform proposal on the November ballot.

A coalition including the League of Women Voters, the ACLU of Michigan and the state and Detroit branches of the NAACP has filed ballot language with the Secretary of State’s office for a constitutional amendment to expand voter access to the ballot.
