Moratorium Now!, People’s Water Board, and the Coalition to Oppose the Expansion of US Ecology are gathering this coming Wednesday, July 18th at 4pm in front of Cobo, where the Letter Carriers Convention will be taking place. This national convention is a perfect platform for local coalitions and others to come together and gain national exposure to some of the most pressing issues plaguing our city.

Detroit made international headlines when tens of thousands of residents lost their access to water through an aggressive shut-off program by the water department.

People's Water Board June Organizing Meeting

Please attend the PWB monthly meeting and help out. Thousands of families in Detroit are at risk of having their water shut off. We must come together and organize.

We will also be discussing/organizing/mobilizing Solidarity Saturdays, the Michigan Poor People's Campaign, an art build, teams to go to City Council, and much more. This is a working meeting so folks that come will hopefully be leaving with tasks and next steps.

There is so much to be done.
