Flint TDOR Vigil

Date:
Wed, Nov 14, 2018 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

City:

We gather to remember and honor the transgender people that were killed in the last year as a result of transphobia and to draw attention to the continued violence that the transgender community must endure.

This year, we memorialize 24 trans people. Ranging in age from 18 to 54, these individuals were primarily transwomen of color, but not exclusively. These trans men and woman represent only the small portion of trans people that lost their life from bigotry. A very large number of victims get misgendered and dead-named and have no one to correct the record.
