We will bring attendees up to speed on Earned Paid Sick Time legislation and also have some dialogue around what that work will look like moving forward. We will also highlight the Mamas Agenda as well as opportunities for women and mothers to partner with us in our advocacy.

The group will also discuss other critical democracy reform issues to strengthen the democratic process through citizen action in Michigan. We'll be meeting in the John F. Progressives, we need you!! Grand Rapids United Progressives has arranged to charter a bus from Great Lakes Motorcoach for the MDP Convention at Cobo Hall in Detroit on February 2nd. YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF THE MICHIGAN DEMOCRATIC PARTY FOR 30 DAYS PRIOR TO FEB. 2ND TO VOTE! Those wishing to ride the bus are to report to the park and ride north of Gravity Taphouse Grille located on the East Beltline and 96. The bus departs at 5:00 a.m., so try to get there by 4:45 a.m. and plan to bring a lunch and something to drink, as purchasing lunch at Cobo is pretty expensive.
