Rally to Support the Yemeni People

Date:
Thu, Jul 12, 2018 - 6:00pm to 7:00pm

The non-Yemeni activist community is coming together to lend support to our fellow Yemeni Americans, especially those who live in Hamtramck.

The Yemenis in America and Yemen are going through a triple crisis:
• family and friends are being massacred in a deadly war in their home country
• they are facing severe limits on travel into and out of America
• as Muslims, they are victims of Islamophobic discrimination in America

Forum: Muslims in Hamtramck Politics

Date:
Mon, May 22, 2017 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

City:

Bill Meyer will host and guest speaker Khalid M. Turaani will lead a discussion about what it’s like to be a Muslim in politics in America, and Hamtramck specifically. Muslim candidates and officials will speak from their chairs and it will NOT be a candidates night to expound campaign positions, but rather to learn about each other as human beings first. OneHamtramck does NOT officially endorse any candidate, but is providing the forum for discussion.
