Climate Strike Art Build

Date:
Tue, Dec 3, 2019 - 6:30pm to 9:30pm

City:

In preparation for the Climate Strike we will be hosting an art build during our meeting time. As Sunrisers, we know that visually compelling, narratively clear, and moving actions -- like our sit in in Pelosi's office -- is part of how we put the Green New Deal on the map and grow our movement. An art build is where we create signs, banners, etc. to amplify our message. And it’s a time to get creative and have fun!
Join us Tuesday, December 3rd @ 6:30-9:30 PM at the Fledge

*no experience necessary, all are welcome :)

Location:
The Fledge
Address:
1300 Eureka, Lansing, Michigan 48912

Lansing Climate Strike - Dec 6

Date:
Fri, Dec 6, 2019 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm

City:

On December 6th, people across America will join a national #ClimateStrike to take the September strike’s momentum to our elected officials’ doorsteps.

When we striked in September, many politicians shared nice words of encouragement. But we need more than just kind words--we need clear commitments to action.

On Dec 6th, we're showing up at the Michigan State Capitol to ask our political leaders: are you ready to stand with our generation and fight for a Green New Deal?

Location:
Michigan State Capitol
Address:
110 N Capitol Ave, Lansing, Michigan 48933
