Picnic for Oil-Free Lakes with The GRWP

Date:
Sat, Aug 12, 2017 - 12:00pm to 4:00pm

The GRWP is hosting a Saturday as part of the ongoing direct actions against Enbridge Line 5 at McGulpin Point Lighthouse.

Bring a dish to pass (nothing involving alcohol, please), signs and banners letting Enbridge know how you feel about Line 5, and a spirit of enjoying good food, good company, and a healthy Great Lakes ecosystem.

Is Mackinaw City a little far for a day trip? Yeah, for us, too, which is why we're planning to camp for the weekend. PM Grand Rapids Water Protectors for more information.

Sportspersons Against Line 5 - Wear blaze orange!

Date:
Sat, Jul 15, 2017 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Open call out to everyone, but ESPECIALLY hunters, anglers, & foragers, to stand in unity against Line 5.

We would like Bill Schuette to know that his failure to protect Michigan against Line 5 is also a failure to protect hunters, anglers, & their families. Hunting and fishing are a valued part of Michigan's culture, and many family's food supplies. Line 5 is a significant threat our ability to ensure hunting and fishing access for generations to come.
