Gelman Plume Community Meeting

On Thursday, January 16 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI), officials from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), officials from the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), the Michigan Attorney General’s Office, and local officials including Washtenaw County Commissioners, Ann Arbor City Council members, Ann Arbor Township, Scio Township, and other stakeholders will hold a community meeting on the Gelman Plume.

This meeting will allow the opportunity for local elected officials and community members to ask specific, substantive questions of Federal, state, and local officials on potential action.

For the last year elected officials have been meeting on the Gelman Plume. The January 16th meeting is to gain information from all levels of government on substance for potential action. Dingell has remained committed to addressing cleanup of the Gelman Plume and bringing all parties to the table.
