Grand Rapids Neighborhood Summit (#2019GRSummit)

The #2019GRSummit is a one-day annual learning and relationship building event for Grand Rapids residents, owners of locally owned businesses and other stakeholders to learn strategies and about resources to strengthen neighborhoods and lift up equity throughout the city of Grand Rapids.

Kids Summit is the intentional and interactive childcare available to the children, age 0 - 12, of Grand Rapids residents attending #2019GRSummit. Kids Summit takes place at the same location at the same time as regular Summit. Pre-registration is required and will also be available online Feb 14, 2019 at

#2019GRSummit attendees will experience:
- Breakfast Snacks and Refreshments
- Resource Tables throughout the day (Visit at least 10 & be entered in the Prize Drawing)
- Opening Ceremony by local Anishinaabe community drum
- Welcome remarks by Mayor Bliss
- Experiential Theater Presentation (Replaces Keynote)
- Attend 3 different workshops from a selection of 20+ workshop options
- Lunch with Vegan & Gluten-Free options
- Fun photo booth
- GR Resident recognition (Those who completed Neighborhood Match Fund projects in the past year)
- Drawing for prizes from local businesses and organizations
- Closing Ceremony that includes closing remarks and a travel song by Anishinaabe community drum

Immediately after in the same location from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. will be a Community Celebration geared for the adult attendees, volunteers, sponsors, workshop presenters, #2019GRSummit planning team and NMF award recipients. Appetizers and drinks provided.
