Support U-M Climate Action at Regents' Meeting

Thu, Dec 6, 2018 - 2:30pm to 5:30pm

Help ensure U-M becomes a climate leader by committing to carbon neutrality by 2035!

Join us in attending the December 6th Regents' Meeting at the U-M Golf Course to demonstrate support for a detailed climate action plan at the University.

President Schlissel made the first step on October 4th when he announced his commitment to carbon neutrality. Now it's time to take the next step and back this commitment up with a defined timeline and plan of action.

There will be five speakers, two members of the Climate Action Movement, two U-M faculty members, and the Ann Arbor Sustainability Manager, asking President Schlissel and the Regents to act with urgency and purpose in addressing UM's responsibility in establishing an ambitious climate action plan in light of the most recent IPCC report.

The meeting begins at 3 with public comments starting anywhere between 4 and 5. Come at anytime within that period for however long you can! The most important time to be there will be during the public comment section, but we want to have a presence starting from when the President and Regents arrive, to when they leave.

Food, hot chocolate, & signs provided!

To get there take the U-M Commuter South to Lot CS-7 or plan a carpool!
