Join Moms Demand Action and many other organizations on June 8th when residents, survivors, business owners, students, elected officials, teachers, community leaders, parents and kids all across Metro Detroit, Michigan and the nation join together to #WearOrange and show indisputably that there is a movement of Americans committed to end gun violence.

-Upon arriving please visit the nearest check in table and we will check you in and point you in the right direction.
-Check in starts at 930 AM
-Parking is nearby but plan to pay for parking.

DONATIONS:
We are partnering with Matrix Human Services to take ACTION for change. Please bring a monetary or physical goods donation (in new, unopened condition) to help MATRIX do the most good in the city of Detroit.
Needs: Monetary Donations, Diapers, Deodorant, Personal care items, feminine hygiene products, cleaning supplies etc.

SURVIVOR SOLIDARITY MARCH:
-The march takes place at 10 AM and is a half-mile route north from Spirit Plaza, up around the loop at Campus Martius and back south to Spirit Plaza. We will have Detroit PD on site and there will be volunteer marshals guiding the group along the sidewalks.

SURVIVOR WALL: We will be erecting a survivor wall for attendees to put up copies of pictures, notes, memorabilia etc of lives taken by gun violence. There will also be a station to decorate survivor pins and post it notes where anyone can come and write a heartfelt message to put up on the wall in support and solidarity.

RALLY: The rally starts at 11 AM and ends at 1 PM. Here is a list of current scheduled speakers and entertainment:

SPIRIT OF THE EVENT: Wear Orange is an event meant to raise awareness for the ever growing epidemic of gun violence, honor lives taken by gun violence and to support the survivors. Please be aware this is not an overly political event. Signs are allowed but please keep them family friendly and supportive of survivors.

FAMILY FRIENDLY: There will be a kid's activity area including bubbles, coloring, sidewalk chalk and facepainting.

REFRESHMENTS: There will be a table with free snacks and drinks including water and Faygo Orange Pop.
