Across the country, abortion rights are under attack. Ignited by the belief that a conservative majority on the Supreme Court represents an opportunity to overturn Roe v. Wade, state legislatures are passing unconstitutional laws that restrict access to abortion. In some cases, the laws ban abortion outright in an effort to force the court to revisit Roe v. Wade. In others, they’re meant to make it so hard for someone to access abortion that it won’t matter whether Roe stands or not.

On Sept. 8 we will RISE together with an event in Flint at a concert to lift up the people at the front lines of the fight for clean water and air, justice, and the climate crisis. This show will feature some of the state's best musicians to celebrate our growing movement, the future we’re building together, and the fact that now more than ever, people are ready to take action, hit the streets, and fight back - and in two months, we get to go to the polls.

While the day showed our collective power, ruined Spencer's event, and forced him to cancel all future dates on his college speaking tour (!!!), 24 comrades and activists from both here and far away were arrested.

Join us for a discussion on escalating state repression and help us raise legal funds for our local friends and J20 defendants. Nearly 200 people (including 8 from Michigan and 4 from Ypsilanti) are facing 75 years in prison for protesting Trump on inauguration day. The only evidence against them was their mass arrest. They were never told to disperse, but were kettled, projectile pepper sprayed, and hoarded into police vans.
