We hope you can join us for our first member meeting of the school year! This is a great opportunity to connect, learn, and take action!

We'll have time to share our thoughts about gun violence in our communities, in our state, and across the country. We'll hear from a survivor who lost a family member to gun suicide, and who fights every day to ensure this doesn't happen to others. We'll learn what's happening legislatively for gun violence prevention. And we'll take action, writing postcards and making phone calls to our legislators!

Election 20XX City Leadership Assembly

Date:
Tue, Oct 1, 2019 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

City:

Election 20XX City Leadership Assembly is your opportunity as a resident to work with candidates for City Council to prioritize issues.

Far too often the issues that matter most to Black families and residents are a low priority for elected officials and thus rarely centered in policy or funding. People's Assemblies are designed to create a co-governance relationship between residents and elected leadership. All City Council Candidates are invited to join residents of Lansing in prioritizing the issues that impact our lives.
