In this forum, Debra Taylor will share “Mapping the Water Crisis,” which is an interdisciplinary study on the water crisis from We The People Of Detroit. Sylvia Orduno will tell us all about The People's Water Board Coalition's “Water Affordability plan.” Then, Valerie Blakey will present her lived experiences of the ongoing water crises across the state of Michigan, including Flint and the lesser publicized one in Detroit.

A march in Flint designed to remind the country that Flint will not be forgotten. That just like every American those that live there deserve clean water. It is time to stand together and work to correct this grievous issue.

To help support that, we are sistering with another cause to get America off of fossil fuels. As Michiganders know, the environment is a precious thing. Water is our life here. Anything that helps protect our valuable little ecosystem is in alignment with our cause. A greener world can only enhance our life here.
